Ilim Group has started to train personnel for a new fiber line in Bratsk, constructed as part of the Big Bratsk investment project. Trainings will be conducted by Ilim specialists with input form Metso, a major process equipment supplier for the Bratsk Construction Site.
According to Mikhail Pavozkov, Project Manager, trainings will be organized in several stages. During the first stage employees will attend a theoretical classroom course followed by a practical course in an in-house training laboratory using universal training simulators. The employees of the Bratsk Branch will also participate in distance learning courses which were specifically designed for the new fiber line. All employees will only be allowed to operate the new equipment upon completion of the courses and subject to authorization by the special commission.
Currently, the trainings are provided for process and repair specialists who are responsible for evaporation plants and recovery boiler maintenance. The evaporation plants and the new recovery boiler will be the first equipment to be started up at the new Bratsk fiber line. As a reminder, the new Ilim Group's pulp mill in Bratsk is schedules for start-up in the second half of 2012.
